Review of Dhoom2

Its “Dhoom Again” at the boxoffice and this time its much bigger blast than the previous one. Dhoom2 is indefinitely the Winning Horse for this year and is a thrill ride for 2 hours and 30 minutes odd..

Let me first list out some points that may still have been done well.

First in this list comes the songs, though Title song Dhoom Again and Crazy kiya rey are mindblowing there is not much to talk about the rest of the 3 songs. Though they are pausable onscreen, you cannot listen to them as frequently as you did the Dhoom Machaley songs.

Then There are little changes that could have done to the script which would have enhanced the overall quality output of the product. For instance, they would have shown little bit more about Ash’s character background, and in the robbery at the art museum, they could have shown how hrithik managed to come out of the hall filled with policemen disguised as a old Cleaning man. They could have simply used a gas that would have made the policemen loose their consciousness and then should have shown hrithik coming out with the cleaning bag. And they would have injected little more style in Abhishek character so that it can atleast match Hrithik’s, because Abhishek who is the Hero of the First part, just diminishes into a miniscule before Hrithiks larger than life image.. and uday is in for the comedy stuff. But all of this doesnt matter when you are sitting in the theatre and watching Hrithik , Aish and the thrills that Dhoom2 offers.. I mean who really cares? atleast i dont..especially when i am getting entertained thoroughly.

Now the strengths of the movie, Hrithik, hrithik, hrithik and yes hrithik. I became an instant fan to him watching the movie and i am sure everyone will.. As expected before the movie release his character rules entire the length of the movie and he emerges really big. He is definitely a superstar. His looks, his costumes, director sanjay gadhvi has taken care such that in each and every scene that hrithik enters, you just cant keep quite. There is lot of Charisma, Style in the way hrithik carries his character. His looks are splendid. While in Krish he impresses with his acting skills, in this one he will make you crazy about him. Girls, please be careful about your hearts coz the Ultimate Thief is here. You just have to enjoy him watching on bigscreen, there is no alternative other than that. No words i write here will explain how hrithik looks on screen. His costumes are enough to start a New Fashion line in india.. His role as Aaryan will be remembered for long. And there are not just one hrithik to munch on, there are 6 different roles in which hrithik comes and each one you will leave you enthralled. Right from the first scene where he comes as Old Queen, thru out the movie till the end he comes up with different characters with different emotions in each one.

Then there is Ash… WOW… the oohmph she has as Sunehri is the most daring and the best in her career. She is a petty theif who works for cops and tries to turn hrithik in. But the RAW ELEMENTS, the director imposed into her character is what i like the most. She looks right out off the streets, she makes everyone including hrithik to fell in love with her. And the Crazy kiya rey song is my personal favourite in the film, coz once again this is one of Aish’s best choreographed song. And the emotions she has showed while her character turns and falls in love with hrithik are really good.. She struggles while betraying hrithik and at the sametime she is falling in love with him. I just totally love Hrithik and Aish in the movie. This movie belongs to them.

And there are action sequences that has never been on Indian screen. All the robberies in the first half, the title song, the entering scene of Ash, crazy kiya rey song, Basket ball court scene (hrithik accepting ash as his partner), and in the 2nd half, the way hrithik starts trusting ash, the freefall scene into the valley, hrithik and abhishek’s 1st meet, and the 2nd meet of Hrithik and Abhishek where hrithik reveals himself, robbery of the gold coins in the end, the climax fight and the twist in the end. In the 2nd half, uday and bipasha pair imposes enough comedy into the story. And all the robbery scenes are Best, the dialogues between Hrithik and Abhishek in their 2nd meet, And the BRILLIANT AND OBVIOUSLY THE MINDBLOWING SCENE is the Hrithik and Aish scene before the climax robbery. WHat a scene, there are very few scenes like this one in the recent times that will stay in our memory for a very long time. the dialogues and the performances are spell bounding. Audiences in the theatre are just holding their breath thru out the scene.

All one can do now is to watch the movie over and over, and see the New records its going to set at the boxoffice. Producers and Distributors will be dancing all the way while this celebrates its silver jubilee. Dhoom2 leaves you craving for ONCE MORE while you walk out of the theatre. I promise you, you will definitely want to watch it more than once. So thats DHOOM2 for you. Now just go and fight to get the tickets and enjoy The coolest movie of the year. Due to Technical difficulties with DI (Digital Intermediate) there has been a delay in dispatching the prints from the Prasad Labs. However, prints have started circulating and the first show is started at 8:45a.m in Prasad Imax. In kukatpally also, show has started around the same time. In Bangalore, prints have not yet arrived and near Srinivasa (tavarkere) theatre, they have kept a Board saying that shows will start from 1p.m. In P.V.R also shows are going to start around in the afternoon.
