The Name is Bond, James Bond
The name is Bond, James Bond
Hmm now whats special about this 007 and the 21st movie in the series of action packed thrillers?
Whats difference from the prior Bond movies ?
Does Daniel Craig will become the hope of the bond movies to follow or he is going to fall flat ?
Is the Bond Resurrection, the one that producers promised before the movie fulfilled ?
CASINO ROYALE - 2006
Rating - 4/5
I have to say this is truly a different experience, watching casino royale is an experience that one would like to go through a number of times. The pleasure of seeing the Worlds Top Secret Service Agent on screen after a long gap itself is worth every penny. Everything else is a BONUS. And that EVERYTHING is what i enjoyed the most.
DANIEL CRAIG makes the best debute and in performance he just makes you forget all his predecessors. I am simply struck by his charm, his magnificiance and yes his waist ;). I think the script helped him in getting into the 007 shoes so easily. The Whole transition of a Royal Navy Spy into 007 is absolutely Mindblowing and Enthralling.
The plot was so gripping that, i could feel my heartbeat while walking out of the theatre. ofcourse you know i was going wow, aah and even screaming at certain scenes.
If you ask me, this one is undoubtedly one of the best bond movies so far.
Not going through the action stuff, its the content that makes you feel so.
Eva Green as VesperLynd is again as charming as bond himself, and no wonder why bond fell in love with such a girl.
Though i knew the plot i was spellbound by so many scenes. I think i am very bad at expressing out what i want to say, so excuse me if i confuse you while reading this post. All i want now is to watch it tonight again somewhere somehow, though its hard to get the tickets..
The movie starts with the Promotion of James Bond as 007..and for becoming a bond it takes two (kills )..considerably he takes two and the titlesong comes up. And you only get to hear the Legendary Bond Music only twice in the film, once at the starting and then in the ending. I felt this unsatisfaction during the first fight in madagascar where i am not able to hear that music, but then it was only for a moment. I was totally dragged into the movie and i forgot about the music until the end. I totally concentrated on the transition of an ordinary spy into a True 007..as the story also basically stresses more on this point. Even though he is saving a Bomb at an airport, or saving the world by playing a game of poker, or bringing back the money he won at the casino royale, or Fighting a Cardiac Arrest during the game.. all these things take a back seat for me when in the end he says ” The job is done and the bitch is dead “.. Saving the world takes a back seat and the Making of 007 comes forward. From an Arrogant, Passionate, Sensitive spy to a Tough, Impassionate, Intelligent Weapon.. Daniel Craig portrays each and every emotion to the core.
You get to see More unconventional scenes that you cant find in any other bond movie, Because you are not watching a true BOND movie, Its a story of a guy who is becoming Bond.. and that makes me more connected to the movie. In previous movies (bond), you see a Proffesional SPY who works in his own way and operates so intelligently that he never looses. He has a set of rules, though he breaks most of them, but still he operates based on the occasion..Everyone of us has an idea about BOND and his actions, how is going to react when under pressure, how he doesnot emotionally connect with anyone.
Now here in casino royale, this is a totally different Bond, he looses due to his ego, he doesnt have a set of ground rules, he just goes behind anyone when he is put under pressure, here Bond looses and learns his lesson and wins.. For the first time He picks up his style, his TUX suite, Aston Martin Car, and his Vodka Martini (Shaken but not stirred)..He meets Felix for the first time.. Here You can see how he got fond of all these things.
I have to say there is less action compared to Pierce Brosnan Movies, but still who cares for it, when there is lot of entertainment, lot of tension, that surrounds you through out the movie.
Now for all the questions i have quoted above, Casino Royale gives you a Positive answer..and Daniel Craig is here to stay as long as you can imagine..
For a moment after watching Die Another Day, i thought Bond Movies are becoming monatony and some day they are going to end.. But after the show, i can say my grand kids are going to enjoy watching him.. coz he is not going anywhere.. and
his name is Bond, James Bond.
Woh Lamhe
kya aaj kal nindh kam khwab jyada hain, lagtha hai khuda ka koi nek iradha hain, kal tha phakir aaj dil shehjaadha hain, lagtha hai khuda ka koi nek iradh hain, kya mujhey pyaar hain.. he yan aisa ghumar hain ye yaa..
This is the song rocking all over now. Well not just the song, but entire album Woh Lamhe is worth hearing a hell lot of times..
When everything fails, its silence that speaks.. but contrary to that words shine glorily in this Larger Than Life Album of Woh Lamhe.
When i saw this film, i wondered that it would have made much better and would have reached more audiences in that case, Film despite the fact being the True Story of Mahesh Bhatt and yester year glam actress Parveen Babi fails to entertain the audiences and even irritates you at times.
LOVE has always surrounded the world we live. we have seen so many Love Stories that have not been successful and hence stayed forever , let it be laila Majnu, Paru devdas, Romeo Juliet, and so on. From time that can’t be count until now Love Stories that end in pain have always been Historical and Stayed Alive even after the people have Long gone. And cinema has definitely captured Our imagination by narrating these stories of Love and Pain. Recently it (cinema) succeeded in bringing out tears from all of us by telling the story of ROSE and JACK DAWSON travelling on a ship..u know wat i am talking about, isnt it. TITANIC made each one of us dive into the ocean of LOVE once again. Woh Lamhe is a same kind of love story that would make us cry with happiness and pain, IF it would have been taken better. There is love in the story, and there is pain but still i feel its not upto mark.. it would have been made much better. Anyway leaving about the film, lets concentrate on the Music and Songs.
Now here is an album that makes everyones heart skip a beat. Whether it be the New rocking song ” Kya MUjhe Pyaar Hain” or “Tu jo Nahin hain tho Kuch bhi nahin hain” or ” So jaavu main agar tum meri kwabomein aavo meri kwabomein aavo ” or ” Bin Tere Kya hain jeena ” or ” Chal chale apne ghar ye merey humsafar ” ..each and every lyric will leave your ears and heart crave for more. The singers for every song are perfectly selected and every song starts with a MindBlowing Music and a feel that will leave you surprised. I am glad even in this hiphop days we are getting Clean and Neat Albums which have no NONSENSE and No unnecessary beats that makes you feel they are pushed on you forcefully. By copying some western tunes or Repeating the same tunes like Himesh with the same voice..i thought hindi cinema has lost its identity. But here comes the hope again in the form of WohLamhe.. Even though the songs are Taken from Old hindi movies, they are packaged very neatly and blended with the modern beats to appeal to the youth. Music needs to be felt not to be told. So once you start hearing to this album, you can feel what i want to say here. And once you know the beauty of the songs, then you can enjoy hearing them daily, or playing them slowly in the night while you go to sleep, So go and enjoy listening to one of the best album of the year.
